CAS 162 Rochester Creators: Building Your Creative Confidence

Getting Started with Library Resources

This guide will help you get started with your research for your "Rochester Creators" project. In addition to recommending useful databases, this guide provides links to some common book review websites that you can use to discover related publications and projects.

If you have any questions as you begin your research, please feel free to contact me (Lara Nicosia, Outreach Librarian) – I am always happy to help!

The three databases listed below are great starting points for most research topics.  To find subject specific databases, be sure to visit the A-Z Database List. Another great starting point is DiscoverUR. DiscoverUR searches across most of our databases, allowing you to search a wide range of library resources from a single search.

University of Rochester's River Campus Libraries provides access to professional librarians with expertise in a wide range of subject areas.  Be sure to reach out to the librarian for your subject area/topic to get expert help identifying and navigating the resources best suited for your project!
