High School Visits to University of Rochester: Organizing a Visit

Organizing a visit: What to know/do

Considering scheduling a visit to River Campus Libraries? We're happy to have you!

Here are some things you should know and a rough outline of the process:

  1. Please reach out 2 months or more before you hope to visit. We will try our best to accommodate each request.
  2. Email Eloise Stevens (eloise.stevens@library.rochester.edu) with the following information:
    1. Preferred date and time of visit.

    2. Student group/class/project and high-level content needs or learning goals.

    3. Number of Students

    4. Accessibility needs and high school policies RCL should know about.

    5. If there's a particular librarian you've worked with in the past that you'd like to work with your students again if possible.

    6. Whether you'd like the students to check out books.

  3.  We'll be in touch shortly!
  4. In order to create student online accounts, we will need personal identifiable information about your students, including names and email addresses.
    1. Please consider using or adapting the permission slip language on this page. You will be asked to share this information with us 1-2 weeks before your visit.
    2. Please consider having students create and test their accounts with the instructions on this page before your visit.
  5. We look forward to working with your students!
