WRTG 105 Belonging (Wang): Getting Support

Ways to reach out to the library:

Stop by the Q&i desk!

Each library has a Q&i  (Questions & information) desk, staffed by full-time and student staff members who can help answer questions. From finding resources to questions about services and where to start.

Ask us in chat:

On our library website, there is a "Chat" button on the bottom right corner of the page. Chat is staffed 9-5 Monday-Friday and can be a great place to go for quick questions, troubleshooting, and more.

Email the libraries:

Not sure who to reach out to? The "Contact Us" page will create a ticket that will be assigned to the correct person or group. This is great for "I think the library can help with this but I don't know how or where to go" and is also an alternative to chat on nights and weekends for questions you have (typically, these will be responded to the next workday morning).

Email your librarian:

Have a question related to your research or about another library service? Feel free to email a librarian directly. This can be a librarian you've met with before or your subject librarian. Librarian contact information is on course guides (like this one) or subject guides (example: Biology) as well as on the Subject Librarian Page.

Make an appointment with your librarian:

Want to search with an expert or brainstorm and talk through an element of your assignment or research? You can make an appointment with a librarian. Watch this short video (1 minute 44 seconds) to see three ways you can do that.

Campus Resources

Often times, Assignment Calculators (or similarly structured AI responses) will point to or allude to support services and offices on your campus that you might want to take advantage of to make the most of your process and work.
