Finding Full Text Journal Articles

How to find full text articles

Strategies for finding full text articles from a citation/ reference.

  1. After trying Google Scholar, "Articles, Books & More", or Find@ UR, decipher the abbreviated title using the CASSI Tool.
  2. Search the full journal title (not the article title) in the Library's Journals list (use the dropdown near homepage search box to find journals search).  ex. Journal = "Journal of Organic Chemistry."
  3. Browse for the journal on the "Chemistry eJournals List".
  4. Try different variations in the Citation Linker in case the citation is wrong.
  5. If there is no online version, request a copy through Interlibrary Loan Service.  Articles often come in a day or two.
