In much of your university work, you'll be asked to use "scholarly sources", resources that are research-based, were written by academic experts in the field (usually professors) and carefully reviewed by other academic experts in the same field. These sources are usually seeking to contribute new knowledge to the world.
Because they are written by and for professors, we might have a difficult time understanding them if we are not yet experts in the field. If you ever want support in finding, reading, and using scholarly sources, you can meet with a librarian.
