CHE 150 Introduction to Sustainable Energy

The Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE) plays a key role in advancing America's booming solar industry, leading a large network of researchers and other partners to deliver innovative technologies that will make renewable electricity generation cost-competitive with traditional sources of energy.

Provides basic information on details of solar energy and solar technologies.

Since 1990, SELF has completed projects in more than 20 countries and pioneered unique applications of solar power such as for drip irrigation in Benin, health care in Haiti, telemedicine in the Amazon rainforest, online learning in South Africa and microenterprise development in Nigeria.

Over the past 20 years, UNDP has supported over 120 developing and middle income countries with comprehensive programs focusing on energy access, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.
