New Instructor Guide: Home

Welcome

Flyer with Images of the Libraries that says "we're here to be your partner in: Learning, Research, and Student Experiences"

Website & Contact:

On this guide, you'll find resources curated for new faculty and instructors, but this is only the beginning.

Much of this information is on our website, where you can also find information about library eventsspaces, and more(!)

The Teaching Center

The Teaching Center collaborates with the University of Rochester teaching community to promote the adoption of effective, evidence-based, inclusive teaching that results in meaningful and measurable student learning. They run and facilitate different programs throughout the year, including programs specifically for new instructors and Graduate Instructors.

Meet your Librarian:

Each discipline has a liaison librarian (also called a subject librarian) who is here for you and your students and can connect you to other library services and resources.

The liaison librarians have created subject pages with research tips & resources for each subject. If you'd like resources curated specifically for your course, you can reach out to your liaison to discuss your options for library research support!

Resources on scholarship/research

This guide focuses on some of the ways in which the library can support the classes you are teaching. The libraries can also support you as a scholar and researcher.
