Setting Appointment Availability

 Starting August 25, 2021, River Campus Libraries is no longer using the "University of Rochester" location for appointment scheduling. LibCal Appointment users will need to set their availability for the "In-Person Consultations" and "Online Consultations" locations instead.

Setting Appointment Availability

  1. Log into LibCal
  2. Click "Appointments," then "Availability;" or click here to go directly there:
    https://libcal.lib.rochester.edu/admin/appointments/availability
  3. Set your "Start Time," "End Time," and "Repeat Pattern" weekly.
  4. Choose the desired days of the week for repetition and an end date. 
  5. Set your location to "In-Person" or "Online" – you will need to set your availability for each option separately!
  6. Click "Add Availability"

How to quickly remove in-person availability if you switch to remote work

Profile Box Code

 Starting August 25, 2021, you will need to update your profile box code in order to accomodate two locations – "In-Person Consultations" and "Online" consultations

Profile Box Code

  1. Select your name from the dropdown list below
  2. Copy the code snippet that appears below the dropdown menu
  3. Log into LibApps and go to your profile (https://rochester.libapps.com/libapps/profile/box)
  4. Scroll down to the "Widgets" box and click the code snippet or " Empty" tag to the right of "LibCal Widget Code"
  5. Select and delete the current code snippet; Paste your new code snippet into the box and click the checkmark to save
  6. Go to your profile page to view your new "Meet with Me" button
