- The process for submitting an article for publication has the same beginning steps, whether the article is being published OA or not. Here is a PDF guide that goes through all of the steps in the process:

  The most important step is to select an Open Access license in the “Publication Decision” step. Once that license has been selected, the article should be automatically affiliated with the University of Rochester and the waiver request should be sent.
